Active
Ingredients Licorice Licorice
Extract
contains
glycyrrhizin,
a powerful
anti-irritant
that helps
prevent
the
erythema
that
triggers
the chain
of
reactions
that lead
to the
production
of
melanin. Studies
show that
licorice
has a
strong de
pigmenting
effect and
also
inhibits
melanin
due to its
ability to
act as a
tyrosine
inhibitor. Licorice
extract
(obtained
from the
root of
Glycyrrhia
Glabra
Linneva)
has been
used
extensively
in the
cosmetic
industry
as an
effective,
natural
lightening
agent.
Bearberry
- (Latin
name:-
arctostaphylos
uva
ursi) A new type
of skin
de-pigmentation
and
lightening
agent is
the
extract of
Bearberry
plant. Bearberry
contains
the active
ingredient
Arbutin
that is
very
popular in
Japan and
other
Asian
countries
for skin
de-pigmentation. Arbutin
can be
used to
whiten the
skin, to
prevent
liver
spots and
freckles,
to treat
sunburn
marks and
to
regulate
melanogenesis. Arbutin
protects
the skin
against
damage
caused by
free
radicals. Arbutin is
a
skin-whitening
agent; it
inhibits
the
formation
of melanin
pigment by
inhibiting
tyrosinase
activity.
Retinyl
Palmate
- Retinyl
Palmitate
is the
most
important
natural
derivative
of Vitamin
A. Vitamin A
is the
first
vitamin to
be used
topically
for skin
damage. Retinol is
heralded
as the new
great hope
for
reduction
of photo
ageing
skin (sun
damage). Vitamin A
helps to
renew and
exfoliate
the skin,
giving
fresh,
glowing,
beautiful
skin.
Salicylic
acid – Acts as an
exfoliant,
removing
dead skin
layers and
revealing
new light,
glowing
skin

Frequently
Asked
Questions How does
Fade-away
Pigmentation
Lotion™
work?
Fade-away
Pigmentation
Lotion™ works
by fading the
appearance of
the skin and
by helping to
prevent the
production of
Melanin.
When will I
see
results?
With twice
daily use of
Fade-away
Pigmentation
Lotion™, most
patients can
expect to see
a decrease in
pigmentation
and an overall
improvement in
skin tone and
clarity within
six to eight
weeks.
Fade-away will
also help
reduce the
appearance of
fine lines and
wrinkles and
improve the
suppleness of
skin.
Results with
Fade-away will
vary from
person to
person.
Can I use
Fade-away
Pigmentation
Lotion™ with
other skin
products?
When using
multiple skin
care products,
always follow
your
dermatologist’s
instructions.
Fade-away
Pigmentation
Lotion™ can be
used safely
with other
products such
as alpha
hydroxy acids
and
moisturisers.
Wait 20
minutes
between
applying
different
products as
this will
allow
sufficient
time for each
product to
penetrate into
your skin,
reducing the
potential for
irritation.
During the
day, sunscreen
should always
be applied
after
Fade-away (20
minutes later)
and before
cosmetics.
Are there any
precautions I
need to
take?
1.
Always patch
test for
sensitivity
and wait 24
hours before
treating
larger areas
.
2.
One
important
consideration
while using
Fade-away is
to apply the
sunscreen
product your
dermatologist
recommends
every morning
about 20
minutes after
applying
Fade-away to
exposed areas
such as hands
and
neck.
You may also
want to
consider
wearing
protective
clothing to
help reduce
the amount of
sun exposure
(i.e. long
sleeves)
3. If
you should
experience any
type of
irritation,
redness or a
rash while you
are using
Fade-away
Pigmentation
Lotion™,
discontinue
using it and
contact your
dermatologist.
Is it suitable
for pregnant
or lactating
women?
Although there
is no recorded
risk to the
foetus, we
don’t
recommend
using
Fade-away
Pigmentation
Lotion™ when
pregnant or
lactating.
