Spider veins, broken capillaries, angiomas or sunburst varicosities, call them what you may, the fact is this cosmetic problem has been annoying millions of people since recorded history.  Mostly known as just ugly imperfections that are relatively harmless and painless, spider veins could slowly increase in size if left untreated.  Some people may even suffer maddening symptoms such as dull aches, burning, and night cramps.   There are several methods for eliminating spider veins, the Australian-made VeinAway offers a safe, natural and non-surgical solution to this unsightly skin condition.

Active Ingredients
Phytonadione - Phytonadione is also know as phylloquinone or Vitamin K1 and naturally occurs in green leafy vegetables. Vitamin K is essential in the synthesis of at least six of 13 proteins needed for coagulation. That's why Vitamin K is known as the blood-clotting vitamin. Phytonadione eliminates the appearance of spider veins by repairing the damaged capillary, stopping the leaking capillary by clogging up the hole.  Once the vein is healed, the dried blood on the outside of the capillaries, (which is what you see through the skin as a spider vein), dissolves, thus eliminating the spider vein.
Aloe Vera Gel - Extracted from the leaf of the aloe plant.  Aloe Vera penetrates deep into many layers of the skin, delivering nutrients and moisture to newly formed skin cells, which helps prevent the loss of collagen and elastin in the skin.  Aloe Vera helps rebalance the pH level in the skin acting as a gentle astringent, firming and toning, as well as protecting the skin against blemishes.  It does this by dissolving dry dead surface cells that clog and dull your complexion.
Aloe Vera also acts as a moisturiser in two ways.  Firstly it creates a barrier that prevents moisture loss. Secondly by carrying nutrients and moisture through the many layers of the skin down to the dermis, stimulating fibroblasts, the cells responsible for the manufacture of collagen.
Vitamin C -
This fat-soluble version of vitamin C when topically applied penetrates the skin very rapidly and amplifies the affect of bioflavonoids.   Renowned for enhancing collagen production it also has tremendous antioxidant benefits, which protect the skin against damaging free radicals.  This makes the skin appear plumper and thicker, lessening the appearance of spider veins.
Allantoin -
Used in all skin soothing cosmetics because of its ability to heal wounds and skin ulcers and to stimulate growth of healthy tissue.
Lavender - The most widely used essential oil, lavender has skin soothing and healing properties

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly are Spider Veins?
In the medical world, spider veins are known as telangiectasias.  In simpler terms spider veins are just a symptom of the body's wear and tear.  Spider veins are tiny capillaries that have been stretched so often by the pressure from larger veins, that they have become permanently dilated.  The abnormal dilation weakens the capillary walls causing them to rupture easily. When the walls rupture, blood seeps out and flows down along the pathway made by surrounding capillaries.  When the blood dries the result is a web like bruise, we know as spider veins.

By using VeinAway, you actually assist in the healing of the damaged capillary as well as strengthening the wall.  This process gradually diminishes the spider vein until it finally disappears.  In fact regular and consistent use of VeinAway, may even prevent further dilation.

Why do Spider Veins occur in the first place?
Scientific research has not come up with all the reasons why spider veins occur. Most studies agree that the main cause is due to genetics.   But since studies also show that estrogen weakens capillary walls, the chances of developing spider veins, increases with the use of birth control pills, estrogen replacement therapy and pregnancy.  That's why 90% of women suffer the embarrassment of unsightly spider veins.
Other causes include obesity, lack of exercise and sun damage, but generally its aging that dilates and weakens the capillary walls, which in turn increases the chances of spider veins.  VeinAway is the ideal product to counter act the ravages of time and the harsh environment of Australia.   It helps the capillary help itself in reducing dilation, mending walls and preventing further damage.

Where do Spider Veins occur?
These unsightly clusters of very fine veins lie close to the skin and take one of three patterns:

  • The most recognised configuration is the spider web shape - This is where a group of veins spread out from a round central point.  These types of spider veins can appear almost anywhere on the body including shoulders and legs.
  • Some veins have an arborising shape and look similar to tiny branches. They usually appear on the thighs in star burst patterns.
  • The third pattern, is the linear shape that appears as simple separate lines.  They occur often in the area behind the knee.

Because spider veins are likely to appear on any part of your body this dermaceutical has been specially formulated.  VeinAway is safe to use on any area of your skin.  The natural ingredients incorporated in VeinAway, even help nourish and moisturise the skin!

How does this amazing cream work?
VeinAway works in two stages;

  1. First the active natural ingredients in VeinAway penetrate through the epidermal layers of the skin reaching the ruptured wall of the capillary and assists in the coagulation and mending of the wall.
  2. Then, the traditional natural oils in VeinAway help maintain the elasticity and health of the vein as well as disperse the dried blood on surrounding capillaries.

How long does VeinAway take to work?
Because every person has their own unique physiology, results may vary.   Differences in the severity of the spider vein problem, skin thickness, pH balance/skin type have an effect of how quickly VeinAway reduces your spider veins and not all results are the same.  But for most people applying VeinAway twice a day may produce the desired results in six to eight weeks.
Is it safe to use VeinAway on any part of the body?
Yes.  VeinAway is safe enough to use on any part of your body including your face and nose.  Caution is recommended if using VeinAway anywhere near your eyes.  Avoid ingesting or using on broken skin.
How must VeinAway be applied to achieve maximum results?
Apply the cream morning and night.  Make sure your skin has been pre-moistened with warm water to open up the pores of your skin for maximum absorption.  The ideal time to apply VeinAway would be after a shower or bath.  Lightly massage the cream into the skin for best results.  Remember to apply the cream consistently and liberally for the desired results.  Once your spider veins disappear, continue using to prevent spider veins from resurfacing.
What else can be done to achieve satisfactory and speedy results?
If your spider veins are extra stubborn there are several things you could do to help achieve results faster including:

  • Taking natural supplements such Vitamin C and bioflavonoids, (nutrients including hesperidin, rutin and quercetin found in the white of the rind of citrus fruits, in buckwheat, green peppers and tomatoes), help keep capillary walls strong and healthy.  This helps to minimise vascular fragility thus reducing bleeding and bruising as well as preventing micro-trauma to tissue.
  • Eating a high fibre diet.
  • Regular exercise.
  • Don't wear constricting clothing.
  • Elevate the legs approximately 6 to 12 inches above the heart at bedtime.
  • Avoid crossing your legs.

Are there any possible side effects from using VeinAway?
There are no common side effects but it's wise to test VeinAway on a small area of your skin and wait 24 hours before beginning treatment, just in case of an allergic reaction.
VeinAway should not be used if you are on blood thinners such as warfarin or aspirin.
VeinAway should not be applied to mucous membrane or broken skin.
Avoid contact with eyes - Avoid ingestion - For external use only.
