Pro K

History of Vitamin K
The use of Vitamin K to promote the healthy healing of skin is well documented, dating back to the early 1900's. It has been used for years by leading surgeons and dermatologists during surgeries to promote the healing of healthy skin. Vitamin K creams were formerly only available through physicians and are now available through beauty professionals.

Where does Vitamin K come from?
Vitamin K is a natural substance found in vegetables - alfalfa, spinach, kale, carrot tops, tomatoes and certain vegetable oils.

What are the uses of Pro-K?
Pro-K utilises a natural dermaceutical delivery system for Vitamin K. It aids in the healing of bruises, burns, skin irritations and can eliminate unsightly spider veins. Vitamin K is an organic substance essential in small amounts for normal metabolism. The natural ingredients found in Pro-K have a synergistic effect that stimulates epithelial growth and promotes healthy granulation and clarification of the damaged skin tissue.

What is a spider vein?
A spider vein results when a tiny pinhole tear occurs in a capillary or artery beneath your skin. This is usually caused by stress or some type of trauma; i.e. childbirth, car accident, sport injury, or from a contact bruise. What you actually see is blood that has seeped out of that tiny tear or pinhole and has followed the line of the capillary or artery. As an example, imagine putting a drop of water on a pencil - the drop will follow the line of the pencil.

How does Pro-K work?
Pro-K utilises a transdermal delivery system that allows the Vitamin K to fix the damaged capillary by clotting the blood at the tiny tear, thus stopping the seepage. This allows the tissue time to heal itself. An easy example is if you cut yourself, the wound will not heal until it scabs over. The same thing happens with the damaged capillary or artery. It will not heal until the seepage has stopped. Once this is achieved, your spider veins will not reappear.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I use Pro-K?
Slightly hydrate or moisten skin with warm water. Apply Pro-K twice a day, directly to bruises, small capillaries and broken blood vessels. For best results, rub vigorously in a circular motion into the skin.

How long will Pro K take to work?
Many factors determine the amount of time Pro-K will take to work. These factors depend on the severity of your spider veins, skin type and activity levels. Some people have seen results in as little as 8-14 days. However, the average person will see results between 6 and 8 weeks when used as directed.

I have been using the Pro-K for 3 weeks and I don't see any fading.
We have found that 70% of the people using Pro-K do not notice fading. They realise in about 6-8 weeks that their spider veins are nearly gone.

My spider veins look like they are getting worse.
This is actually a good sign. It is caused by the weakening of the areas around the tear that are in the process of healing. The product is working and will just be a matter of time before you will notice fading.

I am pregnant - can I use Pro-K?
Yes, Pro-K is completely safe to use during and after pregnancy. It will actually help reduce stretch marks when used following childbirth.

Can I use Pro-K on my face?
Yes, Pro-K was developed originally for plastic surgeons to use on the face to keep bruising to a minimum during surgery. Pro-K can be used on any part of the body without any worry of side effects.

Are there any side effects?
Pro-K ingredients are all natural, safe and have no-side effects. Like all medicines or natural remedies, if you experience any discomfort or skin irritation discontinue use immediately.

I suffer from bad contact bruises - will Pro-K help?
Yes, Pro-K will heal contact bruises within 48-72 hours.

I have rosecea. Will Pro-K help my complexion?
Yes, rosecea is a problem with capillaries and arteries that are damaged and leaking. Pro-K heals damaged and leaking blood vessels, thus relieving the red ruddiness of the complexion.
