Fed
up with dry, itchy, flaky skin caused by eczema or dermatitis - there now
may be a remedy.......
If you are unlucky enough to suffer from
eczema you will know how debilitating it can be; from feeling self
conscious, uncontrollable scratching and sleepless nights to sheer
frustration. With the misconception that eczema is contagious many
children at nursery/primary school are excluded since lots of games/
activities involve holding hands. This is something which children blessed with clear unblemished skin find hard to do. In September the National Eczema Society is having its Eczema Week, this year
entitled 'Hold a Hand'. Information packs to assist teachers
and assistants in how to care for children with eczema whilst under their
supervision will undoubtedly help, both in practical terms for the
children, and in stemming various myths surrounding eczema.
One
practitioner who has been studying eczema for many years is Elizabeth
Somapala. Recognising the damage steroids and parabens can cause,
she developed a product for dry, itchy or flaky skin which contains
natural ingredients and is suitable for eczema or dermatitis. So far the
test cases have been very positive. As an example, one child who, within a few days of his birth, was diagnosed with eczema, had it so badly,
that by eighteen months his legs and feet were badly swollen, he never
slept through the night and couldn't even talk.

By
the time their son was 2½ his parents were desperate. By chance
his mother mentioned this to Elizabeth, who suggested trying her product,
the Skin Re-covery Cream containing Cornflower Plant Extract,
Essential Oils of Lavender, German Camomile and Rose Otto, and Macerated
Oils: Roman Camomile and Calendula Oil.
Feeling they had nothing to
lose, the parents followed Elizabeth's instructions carefully.
They stopped using all other creams and started using Skin Re-covery
cream only. First they administered a skin patch test on their
son, and then applied the cream three times a day. Elizabeth had already explained to them that their son's dry skin would shred and the skin
underneath would look very pink. This was the new skin which would
take approximately four weeks to heal. The results were actually quicker.
On night 3, the little boy slept through the night for the first time
ever; Day 4, his skin looked pink, but the patches of flaky skin had
gone and by Day 7, his skin was almost clear. The application of three times a day was continued over the next second and third weeks and
his skin just kept getting better and better. Speaking to his mother
last week, she confirmed he is now spending the summer barefoot, has been
bought new shoes one width smaller and is about to start playschool in
November - and no doubt will now have the confidence to hold other
children's hands.
So if you or your child suffers from dry, itchy
or flaky skin and have tried the usual prescribed treatments, you could
try Skin Re-covery Cream - as with everything this may not work for
everyone, but certainly the test cases are positive.
